Work has commenced on Lot 1 of the public realm project at Merthyr Mawr & Cheapside in Bridgend, Mid Glamaorgan for Bridgend County Borough Council.
Work will include improvements to the access and footfall to the town centre by reconstructing the highways and footpaths, renewing street furniture and by changing the traffic management regime.
The £2.2 million scheme is due for completion during March 2013.
