Barratt Developments has been named preferred bidder for Sainsbury's lucrative 750-home Nine Elms redevelopment. The housebuilder is also working with Sainsbury’s alongside London & Quadrant to redevelop a £420m scheme in Fulham Wharf. The mixed-use development is worth around £450m. The Nine Elms store on Wandsworth Road is being enlarged to 80,000 sq ft, and a number of new retail and commercial units will be created. It will include 750 private and affordable new apartments, ranging from one to four bedrooms.
