Architects sought for £40m university project

University of Edinburgh is planning to invest £40 million to improve it's Ashworth Learning and Research Hub. Applications to tender are currently invited for the design team.

Phase 1 is targeted to start on site in late summer 2014 and will cover demolition of March and Murray Labs, providing infrastructure and enabling works, construction of new build Ashworth 4 Research building and another unit. It will also include demolition of Anne Walker building.

Demolition of the Ion Probe Building, refurbishment of Grant Institute and Ashworth 1 and construct New Build Hub will be covered by the following two phases.
