Works will now commence in September 2013 on the Selby Swing Bridge for Network Rail. Works were originally due to commence on the scheme situated in Selby, North Yorkshire, but a delay has been caused by a landslide on another line. Works on the £4 million scheme will comprise refurbishment and modernisation of the 160-year-old bridge. Steelwork will be replaced, new wooden beams installed and repainting will take place.
