Contractors sought for £30m bypass

A shortlist of six contractors are in the process of being selected and invitations to tender will be issued mid May 2013 for the £30 million bypass project for Northumberland County Council. Works are expected to commence September/October 2013 and take approximately 15 months. Scheme comprises the construction of a new 2.5 km single lane carriageway. This will include four new culverts, piling works, landscaping, drainage, lighting and signing installation.
