Tenders have now been returned for the £7.5 million harbour deepening contract for Fraserburgh Harbour Commissioners. A contractor is expected to be appointed late October/early November 2012 for the scheme at Fraserburgh Harbour in Fraserburgh. Project will comprise north harbour deepening to include dredging, provision of new west quay with concrete pavement, closure of east harbour entrance with seward rock armour revetment slope, new north entrance with storm gates, opening bridge and small control tower, strengthening of quay walls to permit dredging in, locally upgraded quay pavement, upgrade of electrical distribution system, lighting and quay side fresh water and electrical power service points.
