Beic Parcio Cymru T/A Bike Park Wales has been award the private sector enterprise for the design, construction, management and operation of a mountain bike facility as part of the Visit Wales Initiative and Heads of the Valleys Regeneration scheme. The site at Gethins Wood, Aberfan in Merthyr Tydfil will include a Visitor Centre, a ton of downhill trials, single track and cross country trails, as well as an uplift service. The Mountain Bike Park is expected to be open in December 2013.
